Our Story

Some moments feel like a light switching on.

We've lived the problem we're solving. We've moved to new cities and spent Sundays guessing. We've traveled and longed to worship somewhere unfamiliar, only to face a wall of star ratings that told us nothing about whether we'd actually belong there. A little Google, a little Yelp, a thread on Reddit — none of it answered the questions that matter to someone standing at a church door for the first time.

There was no single source of truth. No place built for the search itself.

One day it struck us: there has to be a better way. That was the day the beacon was lit.

New to Austin, and still searching — Wayne is living the very problem FaithBeacon was built to solve.

Wayne and his family recently landed in Austin, Texas, and like so many families who've just unpacked the boxes, they're in the middle of the search — visiting, hoping, looking for the church that feels like home. That search is exactly why FaithBeacon exists — and nobody understands it better than someone living it. Away from the work, you'll find him on the golf course, in the gym, or wherever his family is.

Eight years outside Houston, a handful of moves before that — Jake knows exactly how hard finding a church home can be.

Jake and his family have called the Houston area home for eight years, but it took a handful of moves over fifteen years to get there — and every single one came with the same struggle: finding a church the whole family loved. Even now, attending regularly, they know the difference between a church you go to and a church you belong to. That's the problem Jake couldn't let go of — for his own family, and for every family still searching. When he's not working on FaithBeacon, his free time belongs to his family — and when the rare chance comes, you'll find him hunting or fishing.

Newly rooted in small-town Oklahoma, Zach builds for every family still looking for where they belong.

Zach and his family recently settled in a small town outside Oklahoma City — a fresh start in a new place, with the search for a church home still ahead of them. He knows the looking is the hard part, and it shapes how he thinks about FaithBeacon every day — the questions families actually ask, and the answers no star rating can give. Most days you'll find him with his family, and when the Thunder are playing, you'll find him glued to the game.
The Mission

Half are still searching.
None are lost.

Nearly half of America's Christians have no church they call home. Not because they stopped believing — most are still searching for something they haven't found yet. They're not lost. They're seeking. What they've been missing isn't faith. It's a way home.

Every tradition Every denomination Every congregation

There's one body, and room in it for everyone. No gatekeepers. No church paid to reach you. We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — we don't get a vote on where you belong, and no one profits from steering you. Only the calling to help you find your place in it.

Because the goal was never to grow one congregation.
It was to light them all — until every seeker finds their door, and every door finds its seekers.

How it works

Matched by fit,
not by ranking.

Tell us what you're looking for.
Answer eight quick questions about how you like to worship and connect — worship style, sermon style, service interaction, and more. There are no wrong answers, just what fits you.
Members share what it's really like.
People who've been there answer those same questions about their church, and share how welcomed they felt. Not a star rating — a real picture of what a church is like inside.
Find your match.
FaithBeacon pairs what you're looking for with what each church actually is — and shows how closely you fit. The right church for you, not the highest-rated one.
